We’d really love to take a trip to France one of these years while we’re living in Europe. Papa Bear and I love wine so we’ll for sure visit Bordeaux and probably Burgundy but we’ll also likely make our way to Paris. Paris seems like a great place to visit for couples but it is also the home of Disneyland Paris, so it’s a great place to visit with kids of all ages too! Goldilocks loved her trip to Disney World and I can’t wait to take Baby Bear too. So in dreaming about our trip to Disneyland Paris I thought I’d compile a list of helpful tips for making the best of your stay!

Grab a Map

Visiting an attraction in another country can be difficult. Customs are different and most people probably don’t speak your language. To make sure you can figure out where you’re going throughout the park, make sure to grab a map a the entrance. You may not be able to easily find an English speaking cast member to help you find your way.

You can also download the official Disneyland App which provides a map of attractions, show schedules and other park information. I found the Disney World App so helpful on our visit! But make sure you download the App ahead of time in case you can’t find WiFi.

Find Characters at Shows

During our visit to Disney World we only saw characters during the parade. We were kind of disappointed by this. I didn’t want to spend my one day at the park standing in line at venues waiting for characters. If you’re wanting to see some characters don’t count on seeing them throughout the park. Plan a visit to a show or two so that you can see them. Your kids may love the “Disney Princesses: A Royal Invitation” princess experience or an “Encounter with Darth Vader.” Check out more of the character experiences here: http://www.disneylandparis.com/en-us/entertainment/disneyland-park/

Don’t Miss the Parade

This is a big tip all over the internet…don’t miss the parade! We only saw a short bit of the parade at Disney World while we were heading out of the park for dinner. I’m sad we missed most of it because it was our one chance to see the characters! This year is an exciting time to visit Disneyland Paris because it is the 25th anniversary. Expect to see celebrations throughout the park but look forward to an especially magical parade! This year the parade includes eight new universes and even a fire-breathing dragon! The parade is at 5:30 pm every day. Find out more info here: http://www.disneylandparis.com/en-us/entertainment/disneyland-park/disney-stars-on-parade/

Bring Snacks

I can attest to this! If you are able, bring your own food. The park discourages large picnic spreads but a reasonable amount of food is appropriate. And make sure to bring your own water bottle! You don’t want to have to pay the exorbitant prices for water. If you can’t find water fountains just fill up at the bathroom sinks. Your wallet will thank you!

Stay at the Park

Did you know if you stay at a park accommodation you can gain extra access hours to the park?! Such a huge perk! We stayed on-site at Disney World and used every hour of extra time we had in the park. Luckily Papa Bear’s mom was with us to watch Goldilocks while we played in the park late into the night. At Disneyland Paris staying at an on-site hotel gives you extra access before the park opens, which is especially great for those young, early risers! This is such a great way to get the most out of your trip. Find all the places you can stay here: http://www.disneylandparis.com/en-us/hotels/

If you’re looking for an easy way to get to Disneyland Paris from the airport you can look into a taxi service. Check out T2 Transfer taxi service which provides easy and affordable Paris airport transfers to Disneyland. It’s a great way to beat the crowds on the Metro and get to the park with your sanity in tact!
