Three Day Staycation at the Omni Homestead Resort

Due to travel and work, Papa Bear and I haven’t been together for an anniversary in our entire marriage! This year for our fourth anniversary, we were finally together so we decided to take a little anniversary staycation while my mom was in town so she could watch Goldilocks. After receiving an email from Omni with a very enticing half off offer for the Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, VA we knew we had to jump on it.

It was so beautiful. I’m so excited to share all the details with you and maybe inspire more circus birthdays out there!

We have to live our lives to the fullest no matter how much time we may have left here.

Why we chose to be a car free family

A lot went into our decision to be a car free family. We’ve known we were moving to Berlin for quite a while and we’ve thrown around many ideas about what to do about having a car in Germany. Right now we are a two car family, with a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid and a 2006 Nissan Xterra. The Fusion was the first car we bought together as a couple and has a lot of sentimental value to us. The Xterra was my husband’s bachelor car but it has proved to be a great car for us, especially when we were SCUBA diving and skiing back in California.
